13th Alpenglow Lake Tahoe Backcountry Demo Day

The Annual Lake Tahoe Backcountry Demo Event is North America’s largest venue for all things alpine touring, telemark and splitboard!

A community-oriented leader in the backcountry industry for 30-plus years, Alpenglow Sports has worked hard to foster the largest, and most well-known backcountry demo event in North America. The event is held annually at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, a destination known for popular hikes, great out-of-bounds terrain, and easy to access side-country. The event provides a forum to perpetuate the enthusiasm for all aspects of in-area and backcountry skiing.

• Time: 9am-3pm each day

Backcountry Magazine's Backcountry Basecamp Tour will be at the two-day event as well. As they travel throughout the country spreading safety and stoke, join the editors of Backcountry Magazine, alongside guides, forecasters, AIARE instructors and gear experts for a resort-based showcase of all things backcountry—including demos, avalanche education, guided tours and a huge raffle.

The event is free, but participants must possess a valid lift ticket or season pass purchased from Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows along with a driver’s license and credit card for deposit.
